Abstract: Recent advances in the field of wireless sensor networks (WSN) include the creation of a new kind of these networks, called body sensor networks (BSN). These systems have been proven to be an enabling technology for the application domain of unobtrusive medical monitoring. In this paper a novel algorithm is proposed, which covers one of the main technological lacks regarding BSN: the mobility of the network itself. These algorithms have been proven using a BSN applied to the monitoring of the gait of patients affected by Parkinson disease (PD). This work is being developed with the participation of the University Hospital of Navarra (CUN).
