Abstract: Perpendicularly oriented ZnO nanosheet films were prepared using an electrodeposition method at 65 °C and characterised by X-ray diffraction and scanning electron microscopy. The as-prepared films with nanosheet thickness of about 5 nm were applied to Dye-sensitised Solar Cells, and a short-circuit photocurrent density of 1.0 mA/cm², an open-circuit voltage of 0.49 V, a fill factor of 0.40 and an overall light-to-energy conversion efficiency of 0.2% was achieved.
