Abstract: Global warming is an ongoing issue, which will require continuous dialogue for years to come among scientists, engineers, policy-makers, investors and the public. This opinion paper argues that the better we understand the issue, the wider the public awareness is and the wiser we will be in planning ahead to minimise or prevent the adverse impacts and save the earth for the long run.
