International Journal of Modelling in Operations Management (IJMOM), Vol. 2, No. 4, 2012

Abstract: The purpose of this study is to develop a conceptual framework to examine the six practices of TQM which include leadership, customer focus, strategic planning, information and analysis, human resource management, and process management in relations with supply chain flexibility (adaptation, alignment and agility) to enhance organisational performance. A structural model was proposed to examine the relationship between the extent of TQM practices and supply chain flexibility implementation that could be utilised by practitioners and managers to eliminating waste and trimming unnecessary processes that lead to cost reduction.
