Abstract: This paper describes vehicle stability during braking. A new evaluation method was applied to this investigation experimentally to grasp the stability during braking. Furthermore, by carrying out the analysis using a mathematical model, and the experiments based on this method, some suspension characteristics that influence the vehicle stability during braking were clarified.
