International Journal of Vehicle Design (IJVD), Vol. 16, No. 6, 1995
Abstract: Unlike many papers on the subject of international business, this paper does not focus on Asia. Instead, it presents four European firms that excel in quality management. These companies are Asea Brown Boveri, Nestle, Unilever and BMW. The purpose behind the research, aside from providing examples of excellent companies, is to determine if these companies have superior performance purely due to luck or if there are certain actions that facilitate these results. Analysis of these companies leads to the conclusion that there are patterns that lead to superior performance.
