Abstract: The design of facility layout has direct and noticeable bearing on the productivity of all kinds of industries and hence the design should be affected with a practical approach. A procedural approach is the best way to tackle such problem practically. In the present study, a procedural approach has been proposed for handling the layout redesign problem. It provides an alternative way to deal with facility layout redesign problems. The proposed approach consists of few easy and quite simpler steps. It only requires to apply predetermined steps consisting simple mathematical calculation for the developed procedure implementation. For more clear understanding, the proposed approach has been implemented on a case study. The results of the case study implementation show that, the output of the proposed approach is much better than the existing layout of the industry. A comparison of the developed approach has also been carried out with the other procedural approach from the literature.
