Abstract: This paper proposes a modelling approach of 60 GHz channel model and evaluates the performance of IEEE 802.15.3c system. We have used actual 60 GHz high speed interface orthogonal frequency division multiplexing (HSI-OFDM) system model of the IEEE 802.15.3c standard with the realistic 60 GHz channel model based on the triple-S and Valenzuela (TSV) model. In this work, we aim to investigate the effect of small and large scale fading in indoor environment under line-of-sight (LOS) and no-LOS (NLOS) scenarios. The performance is evaluated in terms of the error vector magnitude (EVM) as a function of the distance and signal to noise ratio (SNR). This investigation is done by using a co-simulation technique between MATLAB and ADS software. The simulation results show that the TSV channel model presents better performance than Friis equation in indoor environment and under LOS and NLOS scenarios.
